If you have ever taken an interest in our bespoke bedroom design service, then the chances are that you’ve heard of our Yorkshire based furniture supplier Daval. But it is not only their bedroom furniture that is available in made-to-measure form. Daval’s bespoke manufacturing option means that any of their furniture and cabinetry can be manufactured to your exact requirements, including their eighteen premium kitchen ranges.
To make discovering Daval’s kitchen ranges a little easier, we’ve divided them up into handleless, modern, shaker and traditional kitchens. But, as Daval make clear, the style of these kitchens are extremely versatile, with colour options changing the look and feel of each range dramatically. It is also worth noting that a Daval kitchen can only be ordered through an independent retailer such as ourselves. If you do fall in love with one of these Daval kitchens, then make sure you contact a showroom to arrange an appointment with a designer.
Handleless kitchens are the most modern kitchen option most suppliers offer and with Daval that is no different. Daval’s four handleless ranges below each offer a different tier of adventurousness. The Camden range is the most plain of these options. Manufactured with an ultraviolet gloss lacquer, Camden is a tranquil kitchen option which is available in four light neutral gloss shades: Premium White, Cashmere, Dove Grey and Dust Grey.
As you may know, there are two ways to create a handleless kitchen, either with handleless rails or with a handle integrated into the door. The Modena range uses the integrated handle option, with a neat ‘J’ curved handle integrated into the easiest access point on the door. Modena utilises a soft matt texture that can be selected in one of ten colourways.
The two more outrageous handleless kitchen ranges are similar in comparison. Finsbury and Langham Basalt both use alternative textures, with both offering two stone effect options as well as two exploratory silk finished options from the latter. These two ranges are shown as accents in their respective kitchens, with the bold use of stone often too overpowering to be used as a single kitchen tone.

With a modern Daval kitchen it’s all about texture. Across all four ranges texture is key with foiled, stone, wood and silk finishes applied to these four modern ranges across various colourways. The most expressive of these range is perhaps the Renzo range, which is one of Daval’s latest innovations and boasts an impressive 100% recycled wood composition. It is aligned closely with Daval’s values as a company, branded the kitchen with a conscious. Light, medium and charred Japanese wood finishes can be selected from Renzo, with the option of two more contemporary stone options Artstone White Grey and Quartz Grey.
Langham boasts the same unique textures as the handleless Langham Basalt range, offering both silk and stone effect finishes. Remaining ranges Mayfair and Salcombe both utilise a foiled finish, with the classy Mayfair option available in bold colours like Hunter Green, Charcoal and Bronze. The final modern range Salcombe by comparison is more muted, which seems apt given it is inspired by the British Coastline. Salcombe can be ordered in four options Porcelain, Cashmere, Dove Grey and Charcoal but works well as shown with natural wood accents.

Shaker kitchens have been a vast area of innovation for Daval in recent years. They are a company that has thrived upon the trend for rich coloured shaker kitchens, with new ranges also introduced to offer a twist on the classic style. With a small shaker frame, the Falmouth kitchen is a more contemporary shaker option that utilises a five-piece frame for a robust and durable door option. Falmouth is available in neutral options like Talpa, Dove Grey and the bolder Charcoal finish.
Ranges Farnley and Pembroke are two that will catch the eye if you favour a colourful shaker kitchen. They are both available in twenty colour options, with on trend colourways Heritage Blue, Storm Blue and Forest Green the most eye-catching finishes across these ranges. For an alternative shaker finish the Farnley range can be opted for in a natural timber form. The final shaker range Meltham is an elegant, more traditional shaker with slightly chamfered detailing for a distinguished kitchen finish.

You may be thinking that there isn’t too much difference between a shaker and traditional Daval kitchen, and you would be right in thinking so. The main distinction is detailing. With traditional Daval kitchens shaker frames, profiling and plinths all incorporate ornate detailing, lending themselves to a more traditional kitchen theme. They of course, like any Daval kitchen can be modernised or characterised with an impactful colour choice. Across all these kitchens twenty colour options can be selected with the added option of a classic oak timber finish.
With these traditional kitchens various features like open units, pantries and mantle pieces can be incorporated to create a really traditional space. Each of these ranges offers a unique kitchen aesthetic that must be carefully balanced, for a traditional space our designers can offer invaluable advice regarding colour combinations and kitchen features.
